Our Story

Sometimes love finds you when you’re not looking for it.

Sometimes love finds you when you’re not looking for it. What started as a simple conversation became something neither of us could have imagined.

Mike posted about wanting to go bioluminescent kayaking—something Michelle had always wanted to do. One comment became a private message, one message became a first date, and we have been inseparable ever since.

It didn’t take long for us to realize that we had found our person. We are different in all the right ways: where one of us needs strength, the other naturally steps in. Like yin and yang, we balance each other, complement each other, and make each other stronger.

That symbol carries special meaning for us. Michelle even had yin and yang painted on her ring-finger nail the day Mike proposed—before she knew that finger would be wearing a ring by sunset.

From adventures on the water to finding our forever home, every step has brought us here. Third time’s the charm—and this time, forever means forever.

A Secluded Island, Reachable Only by Boat

Surrounded by the Gulf and sea breeze, we can’t wait to celebrate with you in one of our favorite places.

Private Charter

Board our boat and begin the adventure together.

Island Ceremony

Vows barefoot in the sand on Anclote Key Island.

Back to Shore

Dolphin spotting before Captain Jack’s.

As we make our way to the island, we’ll enjoy a leisurely cruise with fresh seasonal fruit, handcrafted charcuterie boards, and complimentary bottled water. A cash bar offering beer, wine, and mixed drinks will also be available throughout the trip.

After returning to shore, we’ll continue the celebration beginning at 6:30 p.m. on the private upper deck at Captain Jack’s Waterfront Grill. Guests who were not on the island charter—and plus-ones joining us for the evening—are warmly invited to arrive at 6:30 p.m. The covered indoor dining room opens onto a relaxed high-top gathering area overlooking the water, perfect for enjoying a drink, mingling, and celebrating together as the sun begins to set.

Dinner, appetizers, desserts, and beverages will be available for individual purchase throughout the evening from Captain Jack’s full menu and bar. À la carte pricing applies.

Captain Jack’s

The evening celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. on the private upper deck. Guests who were not aboard the charter and plus-ones are warmly invited to join us at that time.
